Paediatric Eye Exam

Seeing 20/20 is more than just a pair of glasses. At Blink, we ensure that both vision and eye health are taken care of.

During a routine eye examination, we look at ocular functions and overall health in order to assess for diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and more.

It is recommended that children have a complete eye exam at six months, three years, five years and then annually after that. â€‹

Comprehensive eye exams are essential in the early detection and treatment of vision problems and diseases before the child experiences difficulty in school due to poor vision.

Exams test for their visual acuity, eye tracking and focusing skills in order to detect problems such as near-sightedness, far-sightedness, lazy eyes, crossed eyes, and colour blindness.

Myopia Control
& Management

According to studies, one out of every two people have myopia or near-sightedness and has become more prevalent in children.

High myopia is associated with an increased risk of ocular complications and may lead to blinding disorders such as premature cataracts, glaucoma, retinal detachment and macular degeneration.

At our clinic, we provide orthokeratology services, an overnight hard contact lens, which has been shown to slow the progression of myopia in children.

Diabetic Eye Exam

Laser Eye Surgery

Diabetes can cause systemic complications when it’s not closely monitored and uncontrolled high blood sugar can affect the blood vessels in your eyes, leading to blurred vision, cataracts and damage to the retina called diabetic retinopathy. â€‹In the early phases of diabetic retinopathy, you may not experience any symptoms at all — but finding it early can help you take steps to protect your vision.

As a result, it is important to get a dilated comprehensive eye exam at least once a year.

Wondering about laser eye surgery but unsure if you're a good candidate for it? â€‹ Before considering the procedure, it is important to have a baseline/initial evaluation to see if laser correction is for you. This also includes knowing what the risks, benefits and alternatives are. What you should expect before, during and after the surgery and what your responsibilities will be throughout the process.
